LIFE IS ABOUT HAPPINESS
The meaning of life, your purpose in life, is happiness, fulfillment. Happiness is the deep feeling of contentment and satisfaction you experience when you achieve some goal, spend time with those you love, or experience something sublime or transcendent in art or nature.

What brings happiness in life?
The science is clear. The Harvard Study on Adult Development tells us that happiness comes from good, high-trust relationships. People in good relationships are happier, healthier, and live years longer.
As we will see below, good relationships are also the key to your success at work, as a parent, as a friend, and as a leader in the community.
If you want happiness and success, then life is all about building good, high trust, high performance relationships. Everything else is a distraction.
HOW DO YOU BUILD GOOD RELATIONSHIPS?
How can you develop the best relationships?
The more people trust your wisdom (your knowledge and character), the more they know that you love them, and the more they know that you get results, the stronger your relationships.
So, all you need to do in life is focus on three things—the Covenant Virtues:
- Seek Wisdom
- Practice Love
- Get Results
Practice the Covenant Virtues in all your relationships including your relationships with:
- Yourself
- Family and friends
- People at work and in the community
Practice these virtues until they become habits, part of your character, part of who you are. The more good habits you have, the better your relationships will be, and the more successful and happier you will be.
Life is about building your character, your relationships, your happiness, and your success one habit at a time. That’s Covenant Leadership.
When you practice one of the virtues in any of your relationships, you get better at that virtue in all your relationships. The more you practice love for others at work, the more it becomes a habit and part of your being, and the more you will become a loving, better parent at home.
